Tune Analysis Performance

Balance frame rate, detector choice, scaling, acceleration, and parallel processing for your hardware.

Last updated ยท App version beta

Form Focus runs heavy detection in real time, so a few settings let you trade speed for accuracy to match your device. Most of these live in the Video Settings sheet and its Advanced Settings section, both documented in App Settings above.

Steps

1. Match the processing rate

In Video Settings, set Processing Rate to Native or a fixed FPS. Adaptive Frame Rate can step it down automatically if playback starts struggling.

2. Adjust the pose scale

Higher Pose Detection Scaling is more accurate but heavier. Use Adaptive Scaling to let the app balance it per frame, or set Manual Scaling yourself.

3. Choose the right model

In Advanced Settings, pick a Manual Pose Detector (Lite, Full, or Heavy), or enable the Adaptive Pose Detector to switch between them per frame.

4. Pick a delegate and benchmark it

Set the Object Detector Delegate (CPU, GPU, or NNAPI) and use the built-in Performance Benchmarks to see which runs fastest on your hardware.

5. Preprocess heavy clips

For the smoothest review, preprocess a video first (see the Video Preprocessing guide) and load the saved data instead of analyzing live.

Tips

  • Turn on the System Monitoring overlay to watch CPU, GPU, and memory while you tune.
  • Use Reset to Recommended Settings to return to your device's tuned defaults at any time.
