Focused assessments break a specific lift down rep by rep—classifying depth or phases, scoring each rep, and listing the exact form issues detected. You turn on the analyzer that matches your lift in the analysis settings, then play the video.
Steps
1. Open the analysis settings
While reviewing a video, open the analysis and graphics settings sheet.
2. Open Focused Assessments
Expand the Focused Assessments section. Each lift has its own analyzer: Squat Depth Analysis, Deadlift Form Analysis, Side View Assessment, Romanian Deadlift Analysis, Overhead Press Analysis, and Kettlebell Swing Analysis.
3. Enable the assessment for your lift
Turn on the analyzer that matches the exercise you filmed. You can also enable focused checks like Knee Over Toes, Foot Angle, and Head and Neck.
4. Enter your working weight
In Weight Settings, set the barbell, dumbbell, or kettlebell weight and your preferred unit so the app can calculate power and velocity for each rep.
5. Play and read the results
Play the video. The app counts reps, classifies depth or phases, scores each rep, and lists the specific issues it detected.
Tips
- Match the camera angle to the assessment—some use a side-on view for depth and hinge, others front-on for symmetry and knee tracking.
- Squat depth is classified across levels from Standing and Quarter Squat down to Parallel, Below Parallel, and ATG.
