Form Focus connects to OpenAI to turn your recorded workout data into conversational, personalized coaching. You bring your own OpenAI API key, which is stored securely on your device and never shared with Form Focus servers—your data is only sent to OpenAI when you explicitly use an AI feature.
Steps
1. Open the API key settings
In User Settings, find OpenAI API Key. Required for AI analysis features, it is stored securely on your device and never shared with Form Focus servers.
2. Create an OpenAI account
Use the in-app link to OpenAI's platform (platform.openai.com/api-keys) and create an account if you do not have one.
3. Generate an API key
On the OpenAI platform, generate a new API key and copy it. Keys start with "sk-".
4. Paste and save
Return to Form Focus, paste the key into the API Key field, and tap Save API Key. The app checks the format and confirms it is stored securely.
5. Request AI analysis
From a recorded workout or the chart screen, request AI feedback. The app sends your workout context to OpenAI and returns insights you can chat with.
Tips
- Your key lives only on your device. You can hide it in the field, or delete it at any time—you will need to re-enter it to use AI features again.
- AI usage is billed by OpenAI to your own account.
